Zentangle Monkey Walking Toward a Banana in Advanced Designs

A monkey is drawn in profile, walking on all fours with its head turned toward a banana held in one front hand. Its body is split into sections filled with tiny patterns, including zigzags, triangles, spirals, scallops, leaf shapes, dots and stripes. A feathered crest sits on top of its head, and the face has a swirly flower-like design around the eye. The long curled tail wraps around the back and ends in a small curl near the front legs, with banded stripes along its length. A few spots are left empty, like the space beside the chest and the area inside the hip, which gives you room for a bold color or a quick sketch. Try using one warm palette for the body panels and a separate color family for the feathers and tail stripes. This free printable suits older kids, teens and adults who enjoy fine-tipped pens and long, quiet coloring sessions.
