Advanced Designs Butterfly with Wavy Striped Wings and Polka Dots
Coloring guide
This butterfly has a big smile, round sparkly eyes, and two curly antennae with little circles on the tips. Its body is striped and segmented, with six bent legs, three per side. The four wings match each other. Large circles sit near the outer top and bottom edges, smaller dots of different sizes are scattered around them, and wavy bands cross the middle of every wing. Because the lines are thick and the spaces roomy, it's a good step up from the simplest pages without feeling crowded. Bright purple or turquoise would look great on the big circles, with warm orange and yellow taking turns in the wavy bands so the pattern pops. Save it as a free PDF for a rainy day or some classroom time. Fans of Advanced Designs coloring pages often like Christmas Mandala and Kawaii as well.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the upper wings hot pink, then fill the big circles on the top and bottom wings with golden yellow.
- 2Fill the middle and lower wing sections with light green and the lower wing sections near the body with sky blue, following the wavy lines.
- 3Color the wavy stripes across the wings with lavender and deep purple.
- 4Color the head and the stripes on the body in golden yellow and orange, alternating them, and make the tail orange. Keep the legs white.
- 5Add the small blue and orange dots on the wings and color the antenna balls golden yellow. Leave the little white dots on the lower wings white.
- 6Optional: Add a little light shading along the edges of the wings to make the colors pop.
