Alphabet Letter Q With a Cute Quail in the Grass
Coloring guide
A big, rounded uppercase letter Q with a thick outline, easy for little hands to color, fills this free printable alphabet page. A smiling quail stands right beside it, facing left with its head tilted toward the letter. The bird has the curly feather plume on top of its head, a small open beak, a round eye, scale-like marks on its belly, and a layered wing with a few tail feathers behind it. Its thin legs and three-toed feet rest on the ground. Around them are a few tufts of grass and several small oval pebbles. Try coloring the Q in a bright solid color, then give the quail soft browns and grays with a blue wing so the plume and belly marks stand out. It works well for teaching the Q sound with quail.
