This friendly baby dragon is sitting on a grassy hill right by a big castle gate, with wide eyes and a grin full of tiny teeth. It has two curved horns, spiky fins behind its head, a striped belly and a dotted back, and its curly tail wraps around at the bottom left. Both bat-style wings are spread wide. Behind the dragon, two tall castle towers with scalloped pointed roofs and waving flags frame an arched wooden door with round door rings. A few small bushes, grass tufts and a couple of rocks fill in the ground. The wing panels, tower bricks and big door give kids lots of room to work. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the dragon's body, head, arms and legs with bright green, leaving the light belly stripes for later.
- 2Color the castle walls, towers and battlements with pale gray, then the arch and wall stones with medium gray.
- 3Color both pointy roofs and the top flag in fire red, and the gate door with warm brown.
- 4Fill the wings and horns with golden yellow, the spiky frill on the back with tangerine orange, and the belly stripes and claws with butter yellow.
- 5Color the bushes with forest green, the windows with sky blue, and the rocks and grass with pale gray and pale lime; keep the eye whites, teeth and little shine spots white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes on the wings and tail in a deeper shade of the same color for extra depth.
