Baby Duckling Hug with Squirtle by the Pond
Coloring guide
By the edge of a pond, a big-eyed, smiling creature with a swirly spiral shell and a leaf-shaped crest on its head gives a tiny fluffy duckling a gentle hug. The duckling nestles into its arm with closed, happy eyes and a little bill. Tall cattails stand on both sides of the page, and daisy-style flowers, grass tufts and a few smooth stones dot the grassy bank. Wavy water lines run along the bottom. Small hands will find the large shapes and round shell spiral easy to color, and older kids can take their time on the fluffy duckling. Soft greens and teals suit the creature, and a bright yellow duckling will make the hug stand out. You can print this free page without signing up for anything. Love this Squirtle coloring page? - 2Color the turtle's head, body, shoulder, and front legs with sand beige, leaving the eyes white.
- 3Fill the shell swirl with chocolate brown, then color the rest of the shell with warm orange and golden ochre.
- 4Color the leaf-like fin on the turtle's head and the grass ground with grass green, and color the cattails with chocolate brown.
- 5Add forest green to the tall grass blades on both sides and light gray to the rocks at the bottom. Keep the flower petals white and fill their centers with bright yellow.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shade of each color along one side of the shell and the duckling's wing to give depth.
