Butterfly Landing on a Baby Hedgehog's Nose

Coloring guide
Sitting upright in the grass, a little hedgehog turns its big round eyes upward and smiles softly at a butterfly perched right on the tip of its nose. There's a round ear, a fluffy tuft of fur on its chest, and a sweep of pointy spikes down its back. Grass tufts surround its feet, with a five-petal flower on the left, another tall flower on the right and a smaller one in the bottom corner. The butterfly has curled antennae and large wings with rounded patterns inside, a good spot to practice coloring small shapes. Soft purple and pink on the wings will make it pop against warm brown spikes. Print this page at home for a quick coloring break. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the hedgehog's back spines chocolate brown, working carefully around the spiky edges and leaving the outline neat.
- 2Fill the hedgehog's face, body, ear and haunch with cream beige, and keep the eye whites bright white.
- 3Paint the butterfly's wing insides golden yellow and its outer wing edges orange, then add soft pink spots on the upper wing and the nose tip chocolate brown.
- 4Color the grass and leaves grass green, and fill the flower centers golden yellow while leaving the flower petals white.
- 5Optional: add a few darker strokes of chocolate brown along the spines and the grass for a little depth.
