A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big yellow school bus body, the roof, and the lower stripes using golden yellow, leaving the black stripe lines and outlines uncolored.
- 2Fill the bus windows, the open door panels, and the driver window with light sky blue, then add medium blue for the darker inside of the bus.
- 3Color the tree and bushes on the left with grass green, and the tree trunk with light brown, then fill the wheels with dark slate gray.
- 4Color the kids next: peach skin for faces, arms and legs, dark brown and orange brown for hair, and use royal blue for the jeans and the driver's cap.
- 5Add the backpacks in blue, green, pink and lavender purple, then finish the red shirt and the pale gray sidewalk. Optional: add light shading under the bus and on the sidewalk to make it pop.
