Bakery Stand Puppy and Kitten Customer, Calico Critters Printable
Coloring guide
Under a striped awning, a cheerful puppy in a tall chef hat and apron leans on the bakery counter and smiles at a little kitten customer. The kitten wears a dress, carries a woven basket, and points up at a frosted layer cake with berries on top, sitting on a pedestal stand. Inside the glass case you'll also spot a basket of round bread loaves, a tray of cupcakes topped with cherries, and two fruit pies. To the left behind the baker there's a potted flower, and on the right, shelves hold crusty rolls and a basket of baguettes. With the scalloped awning and so many treats, there's plenty to color. Warm golden-brown is good for the breads and pies, with pink and red for the cupcakes and cake. Print it at home to add to your growing collection. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Leave the main wall areas and the empty background spaces white, so the bakery stand stands out.
- 2Color the awning stripes bright red and leave the scalloped edges cream, alternating as you go.
- 3Paint the puppy's head and muzzle pale gold, its ears warm brown, and the apron and shirt sky blue, keeping the chef hat cream with its band in sky blue.
- 4Fill the bread, pies and cake with golden yellow and honey orange, add pale peach to the cake frosting, and color the kitten's fur light gray with a pink dress.
- 5Color the cupcakes and the display case in cream and light wheat, using caramel brown for the wooden shelves and posts.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading under the awning and along the bread edges with a slightly deeper shade of the same color for depth.
