Rolling down a curved road, a cheerful little bus with a big smiling face carries three children. A boy at the front holds the steering wheel, a girl with a hair bow waves from one window, and a curly-haired child grins from the next. Bunches of balloons are tied to the front and back, flower garlands drape across the sides, and there are more flowers on the doors. Confetti floats through the sky, a laughing sun with rounded rays shines in the corner, and flower bushes sit along the bottom of the page. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the bus body and front panel with golden yellow, leaving the window areas for later.
- 2Fill the big bus roof, bumper and the red stripes along the bottom and the wheel arches with coral red.
- 3Color the bus windows with pale sky blue and the three balloons: sky blue on the left, coral red in the middle, forest green on the right, plus lavender purple, warm orange and coral pink for the other balloons.
- 4Add the peach skin tones to the faces and hands of the kids and driver, then give the girl orange tangerine hair and the driver chestnut brown hair.
- 5Color the pink garlands with coral pink and the sun with golden yellow. Leave the eye whites, flower centers and balloon knot white. Optional: add a few light strokes of darker tones on the tires and the road to add depth.
