Bouncing Chip the Teacup from Beauty and the Beast

Chip is caught mid-hop on this page, a cheerful little teacup with a chipped rim bouncing across a stone floor. He has big sparkling eyes, raised eyebrows, a wide open smile and a curved handle on one side. A few small motion lines around his body and handle show just how lively he is. His round base rests on a flat floor of uneven stones. Up top, a wall rack holds four pieces of cookware: two frying pans, a smaller skillet and a pot with no lid. Small hands will manage the big cup and pan shapes easily, and the stone tiles give older kids more to do. Soft cream and light blue suit Chip, with warm gray stones and shiny silver pans. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the teapot body, spout, handle and the rim of the teapot with lemon yellow, then add mustard yellow along the top rim edge.
- 2Fill all the floor stones with warm tan, leaving the wall behind the pans white.
- 3Color the big pot and the left pan's red rim with tomato red, then fill the small pan in navy blue and the right pan's rim in forest green with leaf green handle.
- 4Fill the pan centers with charcoal gray and the wooden rail and counter edge with wood brown.
- 5Color the collar with pale blue petals, aqua blue base, and ocean blue lower petals, leaving the eye whites and the hook white.
- 6Finish the face with brick red for the open mouth and coral pink for the tongue. Optional: add a little darker shading under the teapot for depth.
