Boy Biting Into a Watermelon Slice in the Garden
Coloring guide
A little boy perches on a step and takes a huge bite of juicy watermelon, gripping the slice with both hands. He has short spiky hair, wide eyes, and a giant grin, and he's dressed in a T-shirt, shorts, socks, and lace-up sneakers. The sunny backyard behind him includes a wooden picket fence, fluffy round bushes, daisy-style flowers on both sides, grass tufts, and a big sun with rays in the corner. Seeds along the slice are easy for small hands to color. Go with pink or red fruit, a green rind, and black seeds, then give the sun some yellow and add colorful petals to the flowers. Preschoolers and early elementary kids will enjoy this free page, especially for summer or a healthy snack theme. Looking for more? - 1Fill the watermelon flesh with watermelon red and leave a few dark seeds unfilled. Color the thin rind band along the bottom and top edge with pale lime.
- 2Color the face, ears, hands, arms, and legs with peach skin. Add a coral pink tongue in the open smile, and keep the eye whites and teeth white.
- 3Color the boy's hair chestnut brown and his t-shirt and sleeves sky blue. Use tan for his shorts.
- 4Color the sun golden yellow and the fence posts tan. Fill the bushes, grass, and leaves with leaf green and lime green, and add olive green to a few leafy patches.
- 5Color the bench light gray and the sneakers royal blue with light blue collars. Keep the socks and flower petals white and fill the flower centers golden yellow.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the shorts, shirt, and bench edges with a second shade of the same color to make the drawing pop.
