Boy with a Kite and Alphabet Letter K
Coloring guide
Leaning back with tousled hair and a big smile, a boy holds the string of a diamond-shaped kite way up in the air. The kite has a long tail of bows and little wind lines curve around it. He's dressed in a short-sleeved t-shirt, shorts with a pocket, socks and sneakers, and a large rounded outline of the letter K stands next to him. Behind him is a grassy hill with tufts of grass and small flowers, bushy trees, a bigger tree on the left and a few puffy clouds in the sky. Kids can link the letter with the kite, so it's good for K practice at home or in class. Red, yellow and blue would look cheerful on the kite and bows, and a bold green K will stand out against the grass. Print or download it free for a fun afternoon. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big red letter K, filling it in with red and leaving its black outline clean.
- 2Color the kite in red, bright blue and leaf green, one panel at a time, and leave the white highlights along the frame.
- 3Fill the sky clouds with pale blue and the tree and bushes with leaf green, dark green and lime green, keeping the open background white.
- 4Color the boy's face, hands and legs with soft peach, then add chocolate brown to his hair and tree trunk.
- 5Use bright blue for his t-shirt and royal blue for his shorts, and keep the white socks and shoe soles unfilled.
- 6Optional: Add a second shade of green on the hill and bushes to make the grass look more lively.
