Bundle of Pointed Leaves Fanned Out Like an Umbrella

Coloring guide
A bundle of big, pointed leaves fans out in a half circle, like an open umbrella lying on its side. The leaves are layered and overlap, and each one has a center vein running down its length. At the middle, the leaf stems are gathered and wrapped with a few loops of cord or vine. One thin stem sticks out from the bundle and curls into a round loop at the end. The shapes are large and the lines are clean, so younger kids can color without much trouble. Try a different shade of green for each leaf, then use yellow or brown for the veins so the overlapping layers are easy to tell apart. It also works well for talking about how leaves are shaped. This page is free to print, so you can make extra copies for a group.
