A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background: color the lake water in bright blue and the lower grass in lime green, leaving the sky and the snowy pine tops white.
- 2Fill the tent: paint the left side in coral red, the front and right side in orange, and the tent opening and inside shadows in dark brown and navy blue.
- 3Color the two camp chairs in sky blue, and the log in brown with a dark brown end.
- 4Add the pine trees in forest green, the mountains and hills in slate gray and teal green, and the clouds in pale blue.
- 5Finish the campfire with golden yellow and bright orange flames, stone gray rocks, and a charcoal gray cooking pot hanging over the fire.
- 6Optional: Add a little shadow under the tent and chairs with a darker shade of the same color for extra depth.
