This happy carousel horse prances on a twisted, striped pole with one front leg raised, while its wavy mane and long swirly tail flow out behind. Tiny flowers are tucked into the mane, and a big bow with a flower in the middle sits at the chest. The saddle comes with scalloped trim, draped swags, more flowers and little teardrop tassels, and there's a round medallion on the bridle at the nose. Curved tent lines stretch across the top of the page, outline stars float nearby, and the pole stands on a round base at the bottom. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big tent stripes at the top: color the top stripes coral red and the wide bands pale gold, leaving the background above the tent white.
- 2Fill the horse's body, neck, face, legs and hooves-adjacent areas with cream white, keeping the gap by the raised back leg white.
- 3Color the mane, tail, forelock and hair strands chocolate brown, then add the hoof and blanket details in sky blue.
- 4Color the pole with golden and bright yellow bands, alternating them as you go up, and paint the stars golden yellow or bright yellow.
- 5Add the bows, ribbons and hanging tassels in baby blue, and the flowers in rose pink and blush pink.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra shading to the saddle and mane with a slightly darker shade of the same color for more depth.
