Christmas for Kids Ice Skating Family Near a Log Cabin
Coloring guide
Mom, dad, a little girl and a little boy are out skating on the ice, all smiling and bundled up in pom-pom knit hats, long scarves and mittens. The kids lead the way with their arms stretched out wide to keep their balance, and the parents glide right behind them. Curved lines in the ice trace the paths their skates have made. Off in the background you'll spot a small log cabin with a chimney and a four-pane window, tucked beside snowy fir trees and a few mounds of snow. Little hands will find plenty to color, from the striped hat brims to the scarf fringe. Red hats and scarves pop against blue ice and a brown cabin. It's a free printable that fits a winter afternoon at home or a classroom holiday activity. Kids who like Christmas for Kids coloring pages usually enjoy Christmas Lights and Christmas Tree too.

- 2Fill the ice rink with pale blue and add a soft icy tint near the skaters' feet, keeping the snow banks white.
- 3Color the dad's jacket, hat and pompom royal blue or light blue, and his scarf red. Color the faces peach skin, leaving the eye whites white.
- 4Color the mom's jacket and coat rose pink, her scarf and mittens violet purple, and her pants plum purple. Color the girl's coat hot pink, her hat and scarf light pink.
- 5Color the boy's jacket bright green, his scarf and hat sky blue, and his pants navy blue. Color the skate boots charcoal gray, leaving the boots near the middle white.
- 6Optional: add slightly darker shading in the shadows under the jackets and along the ice for more depth.
