Christmas for Kids Sledding Boy Racing Down a Snowy Hill
Coloring guide
A happy boy in a pom-pom knit hat and a long striped scarf zooms downhill on a wooden sled, with the scarf streaming out behind him. Chunky mittens and boots keep him warm, and he holds the sled's rope with both hands. Big eyes and an open smile make the ride look like pure fun. Behind him are two snow-dusted evergreens on rolling hills and a few snowflakes drifting down, plus curved lines that suggest the sledding track and small snow mounds. Large shapes and clean outlines make this free printable PDF a good fit for preschoolers and early elementary kids. A bright red hat and matching scarf will stand out against the pale snow, and the sled runners can be cool silver-gray or warm wood brown. This fits right in with our Christmas for Kids coloring pages — see also Christmas Lights and Christmas Tree.

- 2Color the wooden sled rails, slats, posts and curved runners with chocolate brown and caramel brown.
- 3Fill the big jacket, sleeves, knees and the round pompom on the hat with bright red, then add the hat top in raspberry pink.
- 4Color the hat band, scarf, mittens and the extended glove with sky blue, and the pants with navy blue.
- 5Use golden yellow for the boots, soft orange for the boot tops, forest green for the trees and chocolate brown for the tree trunks and hair. Leave the snowy tree tops and the background hill white.
- 6Optional: add a rose pink tongue and a few darker strokes on the jacket and sled to give depth.
