Little Penguin on an Ice Floe in a Winter Beanie
Coloring guide
Standing on a chunky block of ice, this smiling baby penguin wears a knit beanie with a big pom-pom and a long striped scarf with fringe at the ends. Its flippers hang at its sides, and big round eyes and a little beak make it look sweet and friendly. Wavy water lines run across the bottom. Snowflakes with different designs and small round snowballs fill the sky around it. The hat, scarf, belly and ice are large open shapes that little hands can manage, while the snowflakes offer finer detail for older kids. A bright red hat and scarf look cheerful against light icy blue on the floe. Save it as a free PDF for a classroom project or a weekend craft. - 2Color the penguin's flippers, back, head edges and body sides charcoal gray, keeping the round belly and the face white.
- 3Color the beanie's top section bright red, the ribbed band royal blue, and the fluffy pom-pom sky blue.
- 4Color the scarf across the neck bright red, then add royal blue stripes down the long scarf and royal blue fringe at the end.
- 5Fill the two feet and the beak's top with golden yellow, and color the lower beak orange.
- 6Optional: Leave the eye whites and small shine spots white, and add a little darker shading on the flippers and ice edges for depth.
