This happy little mug has big sparkly eyes and a tiny smile. It sits on a folded, chunky knit blanket, filled to the brim with fluffy marshmallows. A striped candy cane leans on the rim, and four curly swirls of steam drift up above. On the front of the mug is a detailed snowflake with a small heart on each side, a nice spot for fine-tipped markers. The cross-hatched knit pattern on the blanket makes lots of little sections, so it's good practice for staying inside the lines. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the knitted scarf wrapped around the bottom of the mug in mint green, working one loop at a time across the whole scarf.
- 2Fill the mug body, the handle and the rim with cherry red, then add the red stripes on the candy cane.
- 3Color the curly steam wisp on the left in cream and fill the cocoa surface at the top of the mug with dark brown.
- 4Leave the marshmallows, the hole in the handle, the hearts and the white stripes on the candy cane white so they look bright and fresh.
- 5Optional: add a few darker strokes of mint green or cherry red along one side of the scarf and mug to give them a bit of shadow.
