Cute Stegosaurus With Big Plates and Spots

A friendly cartoon stegosaurus walks across the page, turned on its side so its head sits at the bottom and its tail curves up toward the top right. It has a big round eye with a shiny highlight and a small smile. A row of large, rounded back plates runs along its spine, and a few long, pointed spikes stick out from the tail. Oval spots and bumps are scattered over the body, neck, legs and head, and each foot has rounded toes. Because the plates and spots are big and simple, small hands can color them easily. Try a different color for each plate so they look like a rainbow ridge, then use a second shade for the spots. This free printable also works well for a lesson on plant-eating dinosaurs.
