A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky and water: color the lake and the open sky patches light blue, and leave the clouds white.
- 2Fill the distant mountains and hills with steel blue, keeping the snowy peaks white.
- 3Color the grassy lake shore and the slopes with meadow green and grass green.
- 4Add the pine trees in pine green, then fill the big rocks at the bottom with medium gray.
- 5Color the eagle's wings and body with dark brown and chestnut brown, use tan brown on the lower feathers, and leave the head and tail feathers white.
