Sitting cross-legged on a big lily pad, a smiling little elf with pointy ears and a floppy pom-pom hat holds a twig fishing rod with the line dropping into the pond. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the large lily pads and the pond water: color the big lily pads and the leaves in grass green and leaf green, and fill the water areas with sky blue, leaving thin white lines for ripples.
- 2Color the elf's pointed hat in bright red, leaving the white fur trim and the white pompom on the hat tip untouched.
- 3Fill the elf's face, ears and hands with skin tone, then color the hair in chestnut brown.
- 4Color the elf's shirt and sleeves in leaf green, add a lime green collar, and make the pants bright red and the boots warm brown with dark brown toes.
- 5Add the frog in lime green with grass green legs and feet, then color the lotus flowers in rose pink with golden yellow centers and the cattails in warm brown.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker green along the bottom edges of the lily pads and grass for depth, and leave the eye whites and fishing line white.
