Elf Hugging His Knees in a Wide-Brim Hat

A cheerful elf sits with both knees pulled up to his chest and his arms wrapped around his legs. He wears a tall pointed hat with a wide folded brim, and a zigzag collar rests around his neck. His eyes glance off to one side, and he has a small grin with a tiny tooth showing. Short tufts of hair peek out from under the hat, and his hands rest near his feet at the bottom of the page. The long, narrow shape of the page suits a tall hat and a simple tunic, with big open spaces that are easy for small hands to fill. Try red and white for the hat and collar and a bright green for the tunic. Older kids can add a little shading on the folds of the sleeves and knees. It is a printable page that works well for a quiet holiday table activity.
