Jumping Elf Reaching High with Trailing Legs

An elf stretches diagonally across the page as if jumping or flying upward, with both arms reaching high and legs trailing behind. He wears a long floppy hat with a round pom-pom at the tip and a folded brim, a top with a pointed zigzag collar, long plain pants, mittens on his hands, and soft pointed shoes. His face is turned to the side with a small smile, one visible ear, and a rounded nose. The big open shapes on the hat, shirt, and pants are easy for little hands to fill in. Try red and white for the hat and green for the top, then ask kids to guess where the elf is headed and draw a snowy sky or rooftop around him. This free printable also works well for talking about action poses.
