Surprise! Elf Pops Up from a Cardboard Box

A smiling elf pops up from an open cardboard box with both arms stretched wide and thumbs pointing up, as if saying surprise. He wears a big floppy hat, pointed ears, overalls with two straps and little loops at the buttons, and cuffed sleeves around his wrists. His eyes are large and round with small lashes, and he has a round nose and a wide grin. The box has four flaps folded out and down, with simple flat sides. There is no background, so lots of white space is ready for color. Try giving the hat, sleeves, and overalls bold contrasting colors, then color the box like plain brown cardboard. This free printable also works well for a quick lesson on shapes, since the box is made of rectangles and the elf's face is mostly circles and ovals.
