Tilting a watering can over two big blooming flowers, a smiling little elf in a pointy pom-pom hat sends water droplets falling from the spout. His pointed ears peek out from under the hat, and he wears a scalloped tunic, a short skirt-style bottom and sturdy boots. Down in the grass at the bottom left, a cheerful snail with a swirly shell looks up, and a tiny ladybug rests on a leaf at the bottom right. Tall grass blades and leafy stems fill the garden. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the watering can in sky blue, leaving the small droplets and the sprinkler holes white.
- 2Fill the elf's face, hands, and ears with peach, keeping the eye whites bright white.
- 3Color the big flower petals and the small flower petals in pink and lavender, then fill the flower centers with golden yellow.
- 4Use leaf green for the elf's tunic, shoulders and the big leaves, and lime green for the lower leaves and stems.
- 5Color the elf's hat and boots in bright red, add a golden yellow band on the hat, and fill the ladybug's shell in bright red.
- 6Color the snail's shell in brown and its body in pale yellow. Optional: add a slightly darker shade along the leaves and petals for depth.
