Fairytale Castle Hilltop Scene, Advanced Designs

A tall stone castle sits on top of a rocky hill, with pointed towers, scalloped roof tiles and little flags flying from the peaks. A wooden drawbridge leads to an arched gate. From there, a winding stepping-stone path curves down past bushes and boulders to two small stone bridges in the foreground. Pine trees, leafy shrubs and a few flowers fill the corners, and distant mountains and puffy outlined clouds sit behind the towers. Tiny windows, battlements and brick lines make it ideal for older kids or anyone who likes patient, fine-tip coloring. Try soft purple or blue roofs, warm gray walls and bright red flags against the sky. A free printable that makes a nice quiet project on a rainy afternoon or at a classroom center.
