Slender Raptor Dinosaur Striding Over Oval Stones

A slender raptor-style dinosaur walks toward the viewer across flat ground dotted with smooth oval stones. It has a pointed snout, a small smile, and a row of spiky feathers on its head and neck. Its clawed hands are held up in front of its chest. Stripes run across its body and along its very long tail, which curves up behind it and ends in a fan of feathers. Behind the dinosaur, a volcano with dripping lava and puffy smoke clouds sits between two tall cliffs with straight vertical lines. Leafy bushes and more clouds fill the edges of the page. The wide shapes work well for crayons or markers. Try coloring the dinosaur's stripes in two bold colors, then use warm reds and oranges for the lava so the volcano stands out from the gray rocks and green bushes. It also makes a nice starting point for talking about feathered dinosaurs.
