Triceratops Calling Out With Zigzag Spiky Frill
Coloring guide
A friendly cartoon triceratops is drawn sideways on the page, with its head tilted up and its mouth open as if it is calling out. It has one big curved horn on its nose, a large frill with a zigzag spiky edge, and a row of rounded bumps along the frill. Its round body has oval spots of different sizes on the back, and a few more small spots sit on the hip and the tail. You can see four stubby legs, each with rounded toes, plus a long tail that tapers to a point at the bottom. The lines are thick and clean, so younger kids can stay inside them easily. Try coloring the frill bumps in a few different shades, then use a darker color on the body spots so they stand out. It also works well for a lesson on how triceratops got their name.
