Winged Whale Flying Through the Night Sky

Coloring guide
A smiling round whale with a big friendly eye drifts through the night sky on two feathered wings, one on each side of its body. The tail curls up behind it and a few small bubbles dot its head. Gentle curved stripes on the belly are perfect for careful coloring. Just above the whale, a tiny round bird with spread wings flies near a large crescent moon. Stars of different sizes are scattered across the sky, and fluffy outlined clouds line the edges and bottom of the page. The lines are clean and the shapes big, so preschoolers with chunky crayons and older kids who like detail can both enjoy it. Deep blue on the back, pale blue on the belly stripes, and warm yellow for the moon and stars will make the night glow. Print this free page for bedtime or a rainy day. This fits right in with our Whale coloring pages — see also Dolphin and Shark.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the whale body, tail, and top fin in medium blue, leaving the eye shine white.
- 2Color the whale's belly stripes, the water spots on its back, and the clouds in light blue.
- 3Fill the bird's body and all the stars with golden yellow, keeping the stars bright and cheerful.
- 4Color the bird's wing in orange so it stands out against the yellow body.
- 5Optional: Add a little extra shading on the whale's body with a slightly darker blue along the bottom edge to give it some depth.
