Four Little Ladybugs on a Leafy Branch

Coloring guide
Four ladybugs sit side by side along a curving branch, each with a happy smile, big sparkly eyes and two antennae tipped with little circles. Take a closer look and you'll notice every one has a different spot pattern. One has two large circles, one has a center spot with a spot on each side, and the other two have more circles on their shells. That turns coloring into a bit of counting and matching too. Leaves hang below the branch, and a leafy sprig rises at the top right. The shapes are big and simple, so it fits preschoolers and early elementary kids. Give each ladybug its own shell color, say red, orange, pink and yellow, and keep the leaves green. Print this free PDF to add to your collection. - 3Paint the branch warm brown, including the small piece at the far right and the stubby stalk near the top leaf.
- 4Color all the leaves leaf green, from the big leaves at the bottom to the small ones on the top right.
- 5Fill the spots, eye pupils, feet and little legs jet black, and leave the gaps between the bugs and legs white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker red strokes along the lower edge of each shell for a little depth.
