Heart-Trimmed Fruit Salad Bowl with Cherries and Strawberries
Coloring guide
A large decorated bowl piled high with fruit salad sits front and center. Inside are sliced strawberries, whole cherries on long stems, round grapes or berries, and citrus and banana slices. A spoon with a little flower pattern leans against the right side, and the bowl has a scalloped band of hearts and small flowers that's fun to color. In the back, polka-dot curtains frame a window with puffy clouds, a pitcher of flowers decorated with hearts stands on the left, and a basket of bananas and an apple sits on the right. Across a checkered cloth in front lie whole strawberries, a bunch of grapes, cherries, a mango-like fruit and a banana. Red and pink strawberries and deep burgundy cherries will let the heart band stand out in a soft pastel. This free printable has lots of small spaces for patient colorers. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background areas: color the window sky and the bush outside in light blue and grass green, and the wooden table and basket in warm brown.
- 2Fill the bowl with its cream panels and the light blue band and pedestal, leaving the small heart and flower motifs white for contrast.
- 3Color the curtains in golden yellow and lemon yellow, and the blue vase with its blue band.
- 4Add the fruit in the bowl: bright red strawberries, lime green kiwi slices, navy blue and bright blue blueberries, and purple grapes.
- 5Finish the orange, banana, cherries and apple, then add the blue table squares, leaving the table highlights white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shade under the bowl and fruit to make them pop, and leave the cloud and window frame white for a crisp look.
