Galloping Zebra on the Savanna

Coloring guide
A young zebra races across a grassy field, mane and tail streaming in the wind. Big eyes, a wide smile and perked-up ears make it look playful, and the front legs are lifted mid-stride. Bold curved stripes cover the body and legs, which is great for kids who love filling in patterns. Little puffs of dust trail behind the hooves, and tufts of grass dot the ground. Further back, a flat-topped acacia tree stands near a big round sun sitting low over gentle rolling hills. You could color the nose soft pink and the sky a warm sunset orange, or keep the stripes classic black against a bright yellow sun. It saves well as a free PDF for class time or a rainy afternoon. Fans of Zebra coloring pages often like Chicken and Shark as well.

- cream beige
- leaf green
- warm taupe
- golden yellow
- pastel pink
- lime green
- soft black
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sun in golden yellow, then color the acacia tree, hills, grass tufts and the bush on the right in leaf green.
- 2Fill the small clouds and the dust puff at the bottom with cream beige, leaving the outlines crisp.
- 3Color the mane, tail, ears outside, hooves and the stripe-like patches on the back and legs in charcoal gray, keeping the zebra's white stripes untouched.
- 4Add the inside of both ears in pastel pink and the nose and chin in warm taupe.
- 5Use soft black for the darkest body stripes and the tail base, and add a touch of lime green along the front leg shadow.
- 6Optional: Add a little charcoal gray shading along one side of the mane and tail to make them look fluffy.
