Garfield Leaning Back With a Big Grin

Garfield the cat leans sideways in a relaxed pose, one arm bent up with the paw resting near his forehead and the other hand curled into a small fist with the thumb sticking up. His head tilts toward the right with a wide, happy smile, a big rounded muzzle, and half-closed eyes. A few hair tufts stick up from the top of his head, and whiskers poke out from his cheeks. His round belly has short shading lines along the left edge, and his legs cross at the bottom with large rounded feet. The outlines are thick and clean, so younger kids can manage them with chunky crayons. Try orange with darker stripes for the fur, and a lighter shade for the muzzle. You could also ask kids to copy his pose and describe how he feels.
