A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the puddle, splashes and raindrops in pale blue and sky blue, leaving the small highlights white.
- 2Color the hood, raincoat and raised sleeves in lemon yellow, then fill the face, hands and legs with peach skin.
- 3Fill the umbrella panels with bubblegum pink and leaf green and the cloud with pale blue, keeping the polka dots lemon yellow.
- 4Color the pockets, sleeve cuffs and collar in light orange or golden orange, the boots and umbrella handle in bright red, and the hair in warm brown.
- 5Add the mouth in rose pink and the coat buttons in lemon yellow, leaving the eyes and background white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the hood and coat edges with the same colors for depth.
