Fluffy-Cheeked Wolf on a Flat Rocky Ledge

A wolf stands in side view on a flat rocky ledge, with its head turned to look straight out at you. Its ears are pointed and upright, and the face is framed by thick, fluffy fur around the cheeks and neck. The body is drawn with short, sketchy fur strokes, and the bushy tail hangs down behind it. On the left, a small bare shrub with thin branches grows beside the rock, and loose leafy shapes sit in the background behind the wolf's head and back. Try soft grays, tans, and creamy whites for the coat, and keep the darkest shades around the eyes, nose, and tail tip. Because the fur is made of many tiny lines, it's a nice page for practicing light, short pencil strokes. This free printable also works well for a lesson on how wolves live and look.
