A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Start with the big leaf umbrella and the lily pad base in leaf green, leaving the little highlight lines white.
2. 2Color the frog's body parts in grass green and lime green, keeping the belly and the spots on its chest white.
3. 3Fill the cattails with cattail brown and the grass blades with grass green and leaf green.
4. 4Paint the water lilies and their petals golden yellow, and color the puddles and raindrops sky blue.
5. 5Use coral pink for the open smile and red for the tongue, leaving the big eye whites bright white.
6. 6Optional: Add a little darker green along the shadowed sides of the leaf and frog for depth.
