Little Bird and Nest on a Spring Cherry Blossom Branch
Coloring guide
A round little bird with a big shiny eye and an open beak sits on a thick branch, looking toward a woven nest with three smooth eggs in it. Cherry blossom branches fill the page, full of five-petal flowers, pointed leaves and a few closed buds, and loose petals float around the bird. Kids will find lots of spots for color and pattern in the layered wing feathers, the long tail and the little tuft on its head. The twiggy nest is made of crisscrossing lines, which is good practice for small, careful strokes. Soft sky blue wings and pale pink blossoms look pretty, and warm browns suit the nest and branch. This free printable fits a quiet afternoon at home or a calm class activity, and the mix of big and small shapes works for many ages and skill levels. Add this to your Spring coloring page collection, alongside Jesus / Bible and Flowers.

- 3Fill the blossom petals with light pink and the falling petals with rose pink, leaving the flower centers white.
- 4Color the leaves and buds green, with a few olive and khaki buds for variety.
- 5Color the branches and nest with chocolate brown and light brown, then fill the two eggs with pale blue.
- 6Optional: Add shading to the blossoms with a little rose pink and leave the background white.
