Cozy Winter Hat, Mittens and Scarf with Hearts

A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.

• sky blue
• golden yellow
• coral red
• bubblegum pink

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Start with the big red mittens: color the mitten bodies and the top parts coral red, leaving the heart shapes on the mittens white.
2. 2Color the yellow stripes across the mittens, the scarf bands near the hat and the top stripe of the hat with golden yellow.
3. 3Fill the hat's middle band with bubblegum pink, leaving the four hearts on it empty so you can color them coral red.
4. 4Color the hat's ribbed cuff, the mitten cuffs, the scarf bands and the fringe ends with sky blue, leaving the small gaps between ribs as they are.
5. 5Leave the pom-pom white. Optional: add a little shading along the lower edges of the mittens and scarf to make them look puffier.
