Night Prayer in the Olive Grove, Jesus / Bible Printable
Coloring guide
A long-haired, bearded man in a flowing robe kneels with his hands folded under his chin and his eyes gently closed in prayer. Two large olive trees frame the page, their branches heavy with leaves and olives. Soft rounded bushes, small rocks and grass tufts sit behind him, and a crescent moon with three little stars shines in the night sky. Kids get lots of room on the big sleeves, sash and robe folds, while the olives and leaves give steady hands smaller things to color. Deep greens and silvery gray suit the olive leaves, with a dark purple or navy sky around the moon. It's a free printable for Sunday school, quiet-time activities, or a calm moment at home to talk about prayer. This fits right in with our Jesus / Bible coloring pages — see also Flowers and Spring.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big robe areas: color the cream white robe parts with the cream white shade, leaving them light and airy.
- 2Fill the blue cloak over the shoulders and down the left side with royal blue, then add the blue sash around the waist.
- 3Color the tree trunks and branches with warm brown, and the hair with warm brown too, leaving the olive leaves and sky white.
- 4Use peach skin on the face, neck, hands and fingers, then add dark brown to the beard for a soft finish.
- 5Add the crescent moon in golden yellow and the grass and bushes in lime green and forest green, with warm gray for the rocks.
- 6Optional: Color the olive fruit in olive green and add a few small details, keeping the eye areas and highlights white.
