This happy cub is caught in mid-leap over a little stream, front paws stretched out ahead and back legs tucked underneath. The eyes are wide, the mouth is open in a big smile, and the curved tail sticks up behind. Bold stripes on the body, tail and face are easy for small hands to color. Two leafy trees, rounded bushes and grass tufts fill the background, large rocks sit on both banks, and a few stepping stones and ripples show in the water. It's a free printable that kids who like action and nature scenes should enjoy. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big grassy field and the bank on the left with light green, leaving the sky and the background behind the tiger white.
- 2Fill the tree leaves, bushes and the grass tufts with leaf green, then add dark green to the darker leaf shapes and the grass at the bottom.
- 3Paint the tree trunks brown and the branch on the left with olive brown.
- 4Color the whole tiger cub in orange, including the head, body, front legs and tail, leaving the thin white streaks on the stripes uncolored.
- 5Add cream to the chin, cheeks, muzzle and the hind leg, rose pink to the nose and tongue, and light pink inside the ears. Color the tail tip with black.
- 6Color the rocks and stones with gray and leave the stream water white. Keep the eye whites white. Optional: add a little darker orange along the belly for depth.
