Kids Marching Band Parade Down Main Street

A young drummer leads a small marching band down a town street, grinning as he holds drumsticks over a big drum with rope tension lines on the side. Beside him, a girl with long hair and a boy with curly hair play trumpets, and another trumpet player marches behind them. All of them wear tall plumed hats and uniforms with shoulder tassels, buttons, and stripes down the pants. Cheering kids wave from behind a railing on both sides. Overhead there are triangle bunting flags, a lamppost with a banner, a clock tower, shop awnings, trees, and loose confetti scattered across the road. Since this page sits in our Memorial Day category, try coloring the uniforms and bunting in red, white, and blue. The confetti pieces are great for practicing small, careful strokes with markers or colored pencils. This free page works well for a class talking about parades.
