Kitten and Yarn Inside a Bubble Letter C, Alphabet Coloring

Coloring guide
A happy little kitten sits upright inside a big bubble-style capital C, with a ball of yarn resting by its paws. The kitten has large sparkling eyes, a wide open smile with a tiny tongue showing, pointy ears, forehead stripes and long whiskers. Its tail curls up along the inside curve of the letter, and one loose strand of yarn trails out along the bottom. Small hands will find the thick outlines and roomy spaces easy to color, and since C is for cat, it's a nice pick for early reading practice. Soft orange stripes look good on the kitten, and a bright purple or red yarn ball will stand out nicely. Print this free page for a classroom alphabet display or a quiet afternoon at home. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big bubble letter C with golden yellow, both its top tail and its bottom tail, and leave the space inside the letter white.
- 2Fill the kitten's head, body and tail with bright orange, keeping the whiskers and the eye whites white.
- 3Add burnt orange stripes across the kitten's forehead and along the top of its head.
- 4Fill the inner ears and the open mouth tongue with soft pink.
- 5Color the yarn ball with sky blue, working in bands and leaving a few small white gaps for the thread look.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker orange shade along the kitten's belly and under the tail for a bit of depth.
