Descendants Kitten with Spellbooks and Bubbling Cauldron
Coloring guide
On a stack of three thick books, each marked with a star or crescent moon, sits a smiling kitten with big sparkly eyes and a large bow at its neck. Next to the books, a round cauldron decorated with stars and a moon bubbles over, sending curly swirls of steam upward. The room behind is cozy and stone-walled, with shelves of books, a small potion bottle with a star, and a lit candle. An arched window shows a crescent moon and twinkling stars, with curtains tied back on each side. From the bubbles to the brick wall, there's lots of detail to work on. Bright purple or pink would suit the bow, glowing green the potion, and deep blue the night sky. This free printable is good for young colorers and for older kids who enjoy fine detail. This fits right in with our Descendants coloring pages — see also Princesses and Frozen.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background areas: fill the stone wall zones with stone beige and the wooden shelves and floor with warm brown.
- 2Color the cat's head and body in medium gray, then give the tail and chest the same tone so the kitten looks like one piece.
- 3Fill the inner ears with pink and paint the bow in bright red, keeping the little knot slightly darker in the center if you like.
- 4Add the books: color the top book in deep purple, the middle one in steel blue and the bottom one in forest green, then fill the book pages in cream and the bands in golden yellow.
- 5Paint the cauldron in charcoal gray, its moon and stars in bright yellow, and the swirling steam in mint green, and color the window panes in navy blue and the moon in bright yellow.
- 6Optional: Leave the cat's eyes, the little bubbles and the tiny highlights white so they pop against the colored areas.
