A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big pink gown: fill the skirt, bodice, and both puffed sleeves of the dress form and the girl's gown with blush pink, leaving the background white.
- 2Color the girl's skin (face, neck, hands and wrists) with light peach, and fill her blouse and sleeve cuffs with cream.
- 3Paint the blue apron dress, the chair and the hair with sky blue for the dress and warm brown for the chair, then add warm brown to the hair and bun, leaving the eye whites white.
- 4Color the mirror frame's glass with pale blue, the top ornament with golden yellow, and the flower vase with teal.
- 5Add the ribbons and hatbox: use bubblegum pink for the ribbon rolls and long ribbon, light pink for the hatbox bow, and lavender purple and soft yellow for the loops on top.
