Ladder Rescue by a Police Officer for a Kitten in a Tree
Coloring guide
Up on a step ladder, a smiling police officer reaches toward a fluffy kitten sitting on a thick tree branch. Down below, a young girl watches with her hands clasped and a hopeful grin. The officer has a peaked cap, a badge on his sleeve and chest, a tie and a utility belt with pouches. The kitten has big round eyes and perches on a leafy limb of a large trunk. Bushes and little tufts of grass fill the background, leaving lots of room for different greens. Bright blue suits the uniform, and warm orange or gray will make the kitten stand out against the leaves. Grab the free PDF and print it for a quick coloring break any time. This fits right in with our Police Officer coloring pages — see also Cupcake and Vegetable.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the officer's uniform first: shirt and tie area in bright sky blue, trousers and cap in navy blue, and the cap badge in bronze gold.
- 2Color the skin areas in peach skin: the officer's face, raised arms and hands, and the girl's face, neck, arms and hand. Keep the eye whites and the little shine spots white.
- 3Paint the kitten in tangerine orange, leaving its chest white and coloring its inner ears in light pink.
- 4Add the tree: color the leaves in leaf green and olive green, and the branch in rust brown. The tree trunk and the sky stay white.
- 5Color the ladder in tan brown, the shoes and belt in charcoal gray, and the grass patches in leaf green. Keep the shoe soles white.
- 6Finish the girl: hot pink shirt and headband, medium blue jeans, and golden yellow hair. Optional: add slightly darker shading on one side of each shape for depth.
