Large Maple Leaf With Detailed Veins and Stem

Coloring guide
A single maple leaf fills the page, drawn with a bold outline and a long stem curving off toward the bottom left. Five pointed lobes spread out from the center, and the edges are wavy and slightly jagged, with small notches between the points. Thick main veins run from the base into each of the larger lobes, and thinner curved veins branch off them in graceful arcs. The wide open spaces between the veins make it easy to color for kids who like to take their time. Try shading each section between the veins in a slightly different autumn color, like yellow near the stem, orange in the middle, and deep red at the tips. It also works well for a nature lesson on leaf parts such as the stem, veins, and lobes. Print as many copies as you need for a fall classroom project.
