A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big areas: fill the rolled dough, the counter surface and the cookies on the tray with butter yellow, leaving the chef hat white.
- 2Color the cabinets and the window panes light blue, then fill the apron with sky blue.
- 3Fill the shirt, sleeves and bib with cherry red, the face, arms and neck with soft peach, and the hair with chocolate brown.
- 4Color the counter edge and window sill honey gold, the rolling pin caramel brown, the jar and plant leaves leaf green, and the plant pot burnt orange.
- 5Finish with steel gray on the baking tray and heart cutter, tangerine orange on the spatula and wooden spoon, and leave the spoon highlight white. Optional: add a little darker shading on the hair and cabinets for depth.
