Lone Wolf Padding Across Rocky Grassland

Coloring guide
A single wolf walks to the right across open ground, head low and mouth slightly open with the tongue just showing. Its ears are pointed and upright, its tail hangs down behind it, and short strokes of fur texture mark the body, chest and neck. One front paw kicks up a little patch of dirt as it steps. Small rocks and pebbles are scattered over the ground, two tufts of tall grass sit along the bottom edge, and rounded bushes or hills fill the background. The large open sky leaves plenty of room for creativity. Try gray, tan and cream pencils on the wolf, using light and dark layers so the fur strokes stand out. Then talk with kids about how wolves move and where they live. This printable page works well for animal units or quiet afternoon coloring.
