A big, smiling mother whale curves across the page with her tail held high, and a small baby whale tucks in close to her front with a happy grin. Both have large shiny eyes, and mom also gets a little eyelash flick and a rosy cheek. Pleated lines along their bellies make fun stripes to fill in. You'll spot three small fish nearby, one up top, one on the right and one at the bottom left, plus round bubbles in all sizes floating around. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big whale's body, tail and flipper with royal blue, leaving the eye shine white.
- 2Color the baby whale's body and bubbles with sky blue, then add royal blue to its small bottom flipper.
- 3Use pale blue for the baby whale's snout and the light stripes on its belly.
- 4Color the top fish with golden yellow, its fin with tomato orange, and the right fish with lemon yellow.
- 5Color the bottom left fish's body with lilac and its tail with violet, then finish the remaining bubbles in sky blue.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading along the bottom of the big whale and the baby whale for depth, and keep the small highlight spots white.
